President

In essence, my role is to oversee the society’s activities and to ensure our society is a welcoming, fun environment, with a range of activities. I am a law student and my interests are textiles and fitness.

Vice President

A law student who’s always curious and up for new ideas and as Vice-President, I enjoy bringing fresh energy to the society and helping make our events exciting and welcoming.

My role is to create the agendas for meetings, note down what is discussed and keep track of minutes. I have also taken control of the Law Society’s social media presence.

Who can join the Law Society?

Membership is open to all University of Buckingham students both law and non-law. Anyone with an interest in law, justice, or professional development is welcome to join.

How do I become a member?

You can sign up during Freshers’ Fair or at any point in the year by contacting the committee. Membership fees are small and go directly toward funding events and activities.

What kind of events does the Law Society host?

We host mooting competitions, guest lectures, skills workshops, networking opportunities, and social events such as the annual Law Ball. Our calendar is designed to balance professional growth and fun.

Do I need prior legal experience to get involved?

No, we welcome complete beginners as well as those with legal experience. Our society is a supportive environment where you can develop your skills at your own pace.
