Law Society Terms of Service
Please review these terms carefully as they govern your engagement with the University of Buckingham Law Society.
1. Agreement to Terms
By joining or participating in the University of Buckingham Law Society (“the Society”), you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and the University’s wider student policies. Membership and participation indicate your acceptance of these terms.
These terms apply to all members, event participants, and visitors engaging with the Society.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
All materials, publications, media, and resources provided by the Society are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- Content is the property of the University of Buckingham Law Society
- You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Society materials without permission
- Logos and branding may not be used without prior consent
- Materials are for educational and personal use only
3. Membership Accounts
Members must provide accurate and current information when registering with the Society. Misrepresentation of details may result in suspension of membership or exclusion from activities.

Members are responsible for safeguarding their personal login details for any Society-managed platforms.

The Society is a student-led organization. Activities and services are provided in good faith for educational, professional, and social purposes, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as employment or academic results.
The Society does not guarantee that:
- Events will always run as scheduled
- External speakers or partners will deliver as expected
- Information provided will be free from error
- Any digital platforms will operate without interruption

The Society and its committee members shall not be held liable for any personal loss, injury, or damages incurred during events, activities, or the use of Society resources, except as required by law.

Members agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Society, its officers, and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from misuse of membership or breach of these Terms.
8. Termination of Membership
The Society reserves the right to revoke or suspend membership at any time if a member breaches these Terms or acts against the best interests of the Society or University community.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
10. Changes to Terms
The Society may update or amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be communicated via official Society channels, including the website and mailing list.
By continuing your membership or participation after updates, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
